Drive Now per mettere in pista Startupbootcamp in Germania
DriveNow is a car-sharing joint venture between BMW Group and Sixt AG. BMW Group provides the vehicles and technologies and Sixt AG provides the leasing expertise and a nationwide network for customers to book the vehicles. An essential feature: DriveNow is independent of defined stations for renting and parking. Vehicles can be rented and returned everywhere. With the launch of Munich in June 2011 and Berlin in September 2011 Düsseldorf in January 2012 was the third city to feature this service.
Alex Farcet, Managing Director of Startupbootcamp Berlin, is excited about the partnership with Drive Now as it allows the Berlin group of startups to discover the newest startup city in Germany in a whole new way. “Startupbootcamp is always on the look-out for great deals for our startups. Partnering with BMW's and SIXT´s DriveNow program is tremendous for our startups in several ways: firstly they get to move around Berlin as they tap into our mentor network and the wider ecosystem. Secondly, DriveNow is a really interesting case study of collaborative consumption which some of our entrepreneurs may get very inspired by.” Andreas Kottmann, Managing Director of DriveNow says: “The idea of DriveNow is based on Innovation, Lifestyle and Creativity. Since that concept perfectly fits to Berlin and especially to young startups we are glad to support Startupbootcamp with our service.” Note to editorsStartupbootcamp will be hosting its Mentor Kick Off Event in Berlin, Germany, on 22 May. The event will feature a MINI from the Drive Now program amongst other prominent contributions by partners. Members of the press are invited to the event at the offices at Umspannwerk.
